Interior Transformation: A garage to a Social Hub
The new space concept:
This project aims to create a vibrant social hub at Oederlin estate, the needs of modern workplaces. It will transform the existing garage into a welcoming space for employees to relax, network, and collaborate, with areas for idea exchange, refreshments, and events like presentations. Drawing on the estate's history and wine culture, particularly the Goldwand's role as a gathering place for former factory workers, this initiative seeks to modernize that concept in light of the increasing importance of social and collaborative spaces in a post-COVID world.

Beyond Work: A Multi-Use Venue
Beyond office hours, the space can be opened to the public or used for private events in the evenings and on weekends. Thanks to modular and flexible furniture, it could host:
-
Art exhibitions
-
Themed culinary and wine-tasting events
-
Live music performances
-
Networking gatherings
These initiatives could further elevate the profile of the estate while generating revenue to support the space’s ongoing management.
Design Inspired by Oederlin’s Legacy
The rich history of Oederlin serves as the foundation for this space’s design. The estate’s vineyard heritage, industrial innovation, and international influence...
Rationale Behind the Zoning Layout
The zoning layout aims to enhance clarity and functionality for visitors, ensuring an engaging experience. Key elements include clearly defined zones for easy navigation, a smooth circulation flow, and a stage with main seating in the brightest area to boost ambiance. It maximizes space efficiency by combining complementary functions and strategically places seating, bars, and kiosks to the social and functional purpose of the hub.

Design Inspiration: “L’ORIGINE”
The design concept of the project is deeply rooted in the Oederlin estate's rich viticultural history, emphasizing vineyards, wine, and tradition. It is embodied in the project name "L’ORIGINE," symbolizing the estate's beginnings and connection to the land, along with a logo inspired by grape clusters and vineyard curves, representing unity. The spatial layout reflects the organic flow of a vineyard, while custom furniture design and material selection honor winemaking traditions and Oederlin's innovative culture. This theme creates a space that both honors Oederlin's origins and meets the modern needs of the community.
